Double Dose
No, I don’t believe in good or bad luck.
Just a bad day today.
In the morning, at about quarter to 12, as I was exiting to Federal Highway from Sunway, a lorry came from behind on my left and hit the side mirror of car. Quickly, I overtook and honked at the lorry. It slowed down as I drove to the shoulder of the highway. I stopped and alighted from my car. So did the lorry driver.
I gestured to the driver. Immediately, he raised his voice and said, ‘I’m not earning mega bucks! You expect me to pay?’ I told him he was at fault. He denied and accused me of coming from behind and brushed against his lorry. Also, he challenged me to jot down the lorry registration number and lodge a police report.
By now, my temperature was rising. I said, ‘Hello, mister, please drive carefully next time…’ After that, I asked him firmly, ‘Do you agree with me that you came from behind me and hit my car.’ To my surprise, he said, ‘I’m sorry….’
Feeling really frustrated and knowing that I couldn’t get him to pay, I decided to end the dispute. I gestured him to leave and said, ‘NEVERMIND LAH.’
Later in the evening, at about quarter past six, I had a fall on the bridge leading to Hall 1 & 2 of PWTC. I slipped and fell when I stepped on a some split lotion. Amazingly, I had a soft-and-slow-motion landing. Thank God for His protection and mercy!
